Michael Chan Achievement
I am an educator and senior education leader with over 20 years of experience across schools, universities and international educational institutions in the UK, Hong Kong and the United States.
My work has combined classroom teaching, academic programme development, curriculum design, student support, staff leadership, governance and institutional management. Earlier in my career, I developed new higher education programmes, contributed to validation and quality-related processes, worked with overseas academic partners, and held senior leadership roles in complex organisations.
I currently teach Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Computer Science at Brentwood School, where I work particularly successfully with highly able students, most of whom achieve A/A* grades at A level. Alongside teaching, I serve as Officer Commanding of the RAF Section of the Combined Cadet Force, leading staff, student leaders, training and development.
After relocating to the UK with my family, I returned to full-time school teaching and leadership. I am now looking to bring together that recent UK experience with my earlier background in higher education, programme development and institutional leadership in the next phase of my career.
